After an extraordinary career spanning more than four decades, colleagues, friends, and associates gathered to bid a fond farewell to Leslie Johnson, who retired after 41 years of dedicated service at the National Department of Transport.
The farewell function, held on Friday, 29th of August 2025 at the Manhattan Hotel, Pretoria, was a heartfelt celebration of a remarkable journey marked by loyalty, professionalism, and unwavering commitment. The event was attended by staff members, management, and industry partners, all of whom came together to honour the significant contribution made by Leslie throughout the years.
Speakers shared personal stories and highlights from Leslie’s long career, reflecting on the invaluable role played in the growth and success of the department. Colleagues described her as a mentor, a pillar of stability, and someone whose work ethic and integrity set an example for generations to follow.
